Widget Types

Floating Widget

The floating widget appears as a chat bubble in the corner of your page. When clicked, it opens a chat window. This is the most common widget type for websites.

Perfect for websites where you want chat to be available but not intrusive.

Inline Widget

The inline widget is embedded directly into your page content. It's always visible and doesn't require clicking to open.

Great for dedicated support pages or product demonstrations.

Fullscreen Widget

The fullscreen widget takes up the entire viewport, providing a focused chat experience.

Ideal for conversational landing pages or dedicated chat applications.

Integration Modes

Direct Mode

In direct mode, your widget communicates directly with your webhook URL from the user's browser. This is the simplest setup and works well for public APIs.

Your webhook URL will be visible in the browser's network requests. Use managed mode if you need to keep your webhook URL private.

Managed Mode

In managed mode, requests are proxied through ChatWidgetPro's servers. Your webhook URL stays private, and you get additional features like rate limiting, retry logic, and analytics.

Managed mode is included in standalone and managed plans. It provides enhanced security and reliability.
